Beendo Z pays a heartfelt tribute to his “Poto”!

After the success of “De La Fontaine” in 2023, Beendo Z returns with a powerful project titled “Connu pour extorsion”, released in July 2024. The artist first gained recognition with his freestyle series “Inspired by True Events”, where he captivated the audience with his authenticity. Always creative, Beendo Z left a lasting impression with a remarkable episode, blending three distinct productions into a single track. He continues to showcase his project through the single “Poto”.

Beendo Z pays a heartfelt tribute to his “Poto”!

In the rap scene, tracks about “opportunistic women” are common, from the unforgettable “Elle donne son corps avant son nom” by IAM, to “Zlatana”, and, to a lesser extent, “Pourvu qu’elle aime”. Meanwhile, the figure of the mother also holds a prominent place, with classics like “Dear Mama” by Tupac and “Reine” by Dadju. However, tributes to loyal friends, as opposed to betrayers, are much rarer. Sofiane tackled this theme with “Poto”, from his album “Bandit Saleté”. Beendo Z revisits this topic with his own track, adding a personal touch.

The instrumental production of the track is crafted by Bankai, a renowned trio of beatmakers known for their contributions to “Mignon tout plein” by PLK, “Survie” by Maes, and “Coroner” by Ashe 22. This track stands out for its melodic vibe, an uncommon style for Beendo Z, who is generally known for his more aggressive sound.

The artist sheds light on his street adventures with his loyal friend:

“We know the price of sin, and we’ll fish for the pay (Real, the pay)
We know the price of betrayal (Yeah), and we know his mother very well (Yes, yes).”

The video, directed by Mamby for Fanatik Prod, showcases a stunning desert landscape. Fanatik Prod, already behind numerous visual projects, has notably worked on “J’ai l’impression” by Leto, “Full” by Lyna Mahyem, and “TPMP”.
