Bara is one half of the duo La Kadrilla. Alongside Jamso, he hails from the Marnaudes neighborhood in Rosny-sous-Bois, just outside Paris. He kicked off his solo career in 2024 with the track “Temps d’avance”, followed by “Toujours au boulot” in 2025. Now, he’s back with a brand-new single titled “New Day” — a raw, street-rooted track that reconnects with the gritty foundations of La Kadrilla‘s early sound.
Bara drops “New Day”: rap with zero compromise
The track is produced by the duo Diaxal and No Caap. A key name in the French rap scene, Diaxal has worked with some of the industry’s top players, including Ninho on “Coffrer”, La Mano 1.9 on “Canon” and “Sexy Woman”, as well as La Kadrilla on the standout track “Mazz”, a defining moment from their group era. Originally from Belleville, a vibrant Parisian neighborhood known for producing talents like Mister You and Brulux, Diaxal brings that same energy to the beat.
“New Day” dives headfirst into a dark sonic universe — a street banger that’s gritty, confrontational, and unapologetically current. No filters. No polish. Just raw energy.
With a sharp, no-nonsense delivery, Bara paints a portrait of street survival:
“‘T’es malin’, my teachers used to say — maybe they were right
I’m too smart to stay broke, don’t worry, I’ve got strategies to stack cash”
A raw, urban visual with laser-sharp direction
The video was directed by Sidia Dramé and Côme Viguier, staying true to street aesthetics with a clean, minimal, and gritty vibe. The pair already proved their skills on the clip for “Jour / Nuit” by La Kadrilla, and they deliver again with a powerful visual that captures Bara’s uncompromising energy.
