Alonzo has unveiled his latest project, “Longue vie à nous”, just a week ago. The veteran of French rap has brought together an impressive lineup, featuring Gazo, Jul, PLK, and Gims. Having made his debut alongside Soprano and Luciano as part of the group Psy 4 de La Rime, Alonzo continues to assert his influence. To promote his album, he has released the music video for “Toute la Noche”, a collaboration with Gazo. Seeing the prince of “Drill FR” alongside one of the most iconic rappers of the 2000s, who remains just as relevant today, delivering a melodic track is a rare and captivating sight.
Alonzo and Gazo drop “Toute la Noche”!
The track’s production is crafted by 3 Lettres, DJ Erise, and Lewo. 3 Lettres previously worked on “G8” for Landy. DJ Erise, a key figure in the French rap scene for over a decade, has collaborated with artists like Keblack on the hit “J’ai déconné”, as well as Lacrim, Mister You, and Sultan on his Comorian-inspired collaboration with Rohff, “5 étoiles”. Meanwhile, Lewo has worked with Kofs on “Bellisima”. The production blends a soft and melodic touch without veering too far into the party vibe, enhanced by an original bassline that adds a distinctive groove.
The lyrics explore themes of luxury and success:
“Longue vie à nous, ça fait longtemps qu’je cherche plus à faire ami-ami
La caillé m’observe, gros, y a trop de vis-à-vis
J’fais plus de shopping, j’m’habille plus à Milano, hey”
The music video, directed by Yanis Challab and produced by La Capsule, immerses viewers in a dark yet metaphorically rich atmosphere. It crafts a space where dreams and reality seamlessly merge. Yanis Challab, who previously directed “SMS” for Aya Nakamura, was nominated at Les Flammes last year for his outstanding work.
