Kaïcho Pépélé, born Omar Khaïze in 1994 in Mayotte, is a French rapper and visual artist known for his authentic fusion of cultural influences from his island heritage and the vibrant Marseille urban environment where he grew up. Starting to write at 12 and funding his own recordings by 14, he embodies a determined and independent spirit in French rap.
Kaïcho Pépélé’s work reflects a rich cultural mix between his Mahoran origins and the dynamic Marseille rap scene, particularly Aubagne where he was raised. His early passion for music and words led him to self-finance his initial recording sessions as a teenager, highlighting his dedication.
In 2024, he released the self-directed clip “Indomptable,” showcasing his unyielding style and artistic vision, combining authentic lyrical expression with visual storytelling. Beyond music, Kaïcho is also a visual artist, controlling the full scope of his creative output.
