Profile
Gradur is a prominent French rapper of Congolese origin, known for his authentic trap style and socially engaged music. Rising from his early "Sheguey" freestyles in Roubaix, he has built a respected career marked by powerful collaborations and meaningful projects addressing themes like solidarity and historical reflection.
Former French army soldier Gradur first gained attention through his “Sheguey” freestyles, with “Sheguey” meaning “resourceful” in Congolese slang, which became his artistic signature. His raw energy and close connection with fans helped establish him as a staple in France’s evolving trap scene.
In recent years, Gradur has released impactful tracks such as “Opps” (2026) featuring Ninho, showcasing a dark, intense trap atmosphere, and “Free Congo” (2025), a call for peace featuring Congolese and French rappers like Ninho, Josman, and Damso. Through his versatile artistry, Gradur melds trap beats with African sounds and socially conscious messages, maintaining authenticity while reaching a wide audience.
