In December 2023, L’Allemand released his album Ma Vie, a project featuring high-profile collaborations with Neima Ezza, Maes, Hornet La Frappe, and Rim’K. This album solidifies his position as one of the key figures in the Lyon rap scene, alongside the leaders of Lyonzon. Among the standout tracks, the rapper introduces his new single “Personnel”, which belongs to the category of hard-hitting songs in his discography. With unflinching realism, L’Allemand paints a raw picture of life on the streets.
L’Allemand Keeps It Real with “Personnel”!
The production of this track comes from Farukqsm, a Parisian producer known for his collaborations with Jul on tracks like “Love de moi” and “J’ai le démon”. He also contributed to the production of “Zone à risque”, from the album Le Classico Organisé. With a classic yet stripped-back instrumental, Farukqsm gives L’Allemand the perfect canvas to deliver his sharp, impactful flow, amplifying the song’s intensity. The track stands out for its raw power, set against a melancholic atmosphere.
In “Personnel”, L’Allemand shares his experiences bluntly through striking and uncompromising punchlines:
“Les Minguettes, it’s not Spain, it’s more like Baghdad / At 6 a.m., it blows up, we’re all handcuffed in the apartment.”
And again:
“We come from the city of lights where kids end up in juvenile / Where mothers get paid to hide dealers’ drugs.”
The video, directed by Recsa Studio, adopts a simple yet effective aesthetic, perfectly complementing the rapper’s world. Having already worked with L’Allemand, including on the collaboration with Maes for the track “Grand Patron”, Recsa Studio creates a visual that enhances the strength of the lyrics and their impact.
With Ma Vie and “Personnel”, L’Allemand reaffirms his status as a key player in the Lyon rap scene, continuing to deliver honest and impactful stories that dive deep into the realities of street life.
