Little Simz reflects the diversity of a movement!
Afro Beat, Soul, reggaeton, the British artist surrounds herself with creativity for “Drop 7”. Throughout the project, we find the producer Jakwob handling the instrumental production. This London-based producer has previously collaborated with Little Simz on “Rollin Stone” and “Time Capsule”. The result is simply impressive, offering a spectrum representative of what the Hip Hop movement has generated. There are strong Afrobeat, tribal, and reggaeton influences. However, Little Simz also presents a soulful ballad.
The EP “Drop 7” completes the evolution of this artist who isn’t afraid to venture off the beaten path. Little Simz delivers an EP far from the dictates of the industry and the fear of pleasing. She remains a major female artist today.
