Yoko celebrates his signing with Morning Glory with “Métal Froid”!

Yoko has just taken a major step in his career by joining Morning Glory, the label led by DJ Belleck, brother of the legendary DJ Kore. After propelling BAG Jeune B with unwavering support and making waves by collaborating with ZKR on his latest impactful project, Morning Glory continues to expand its roster with the arrival of an artist as sharp as he is talented. To mark his entry into the big leagues, Yoko drops the freestyle “Métal Froid”, recorded directly in the studios of Morning Glory.

Yoko talks about “Métal Froid”!

The track’s instrumental is crafted by Mxlvyn, a highly accomplished beatmaker who has worked with Nibor on “Cayenne Freestyle” and Azam on “Lotos”. The production, intentionally slow in BPM, sets a heavy and immersive atmosphere. The video opens with Yoko leaving Sarcelles, heading towards DJ Belleck’s studio to make his signing official at Morning Glory. In front of the camera, the rapper
delivers a powerful and razor-sharp performance, showcasing his refined technique and hard-hitting flow.

He fires off punchlines with remarkable ease: “J’ai v’là les choses à dire, pour me faire comprendre faudrait que je crie”
(I have so much to say, to be understood I’d have to scream) and “J’aimerais manger du rap, mais quand t’as pas de contact, tu perceras pas et je trouve ça exécrable”
(I’d love to eat off rap, but if you don’t have connections, you won’t break through—and I find that disgusting).
These lines speak volumes about his determination to carve out his place in the rap game.

With such a powerful debut, Yoko proves his potential and teases a promising future within Morning Glory. Now, it remains to be seen how the label will shape this raw talent and propel him to new heights.
