Werenoi teases his new project “Diamant Noir” with “11/04/2025”!

Werenoi is quickly establishing himself as one of the rising stars of French rap. In 2023, he made a major impact with the release of his album “Carré”, which swiftly earned a double platinum certification. The numbers echoed the early success of Ninho, before he went on to achieve diamond status. In 2024, Werenoi confirmed his place in the spotlight with “Pyramide”, which sold nearly 276,969 copies by the end of the year—bringing him close to triple diamond territory.

Despite his success, Werenoi remains low-profile in the media and stays true to his values, always keeping his “feet on the ground”. In an interview with BFM TV, he acknowledged that “everything could stop tomorrow”. Even with “a lot of effort and relentless work”, he strives to maintain a strong connection with his audience—those he says he “owes everything to”.

This week, Werenoi makes a powerful comeback with his new project “Diamant noir”. As a teaser, he drops the raw and authentic freestyle “11/04/2025”, a track that brings him back to the roots of his musical journey.

The instrumental production was crafted by longtime collaborator Barbe Noire. Together, they’ve already left their mark on tracks like “Location”, “Faf”, “Moteur brûlant”, “L’or et la pierre”, “Animal”, and “C63”, all featured on “Pyramide 2”. Werenoi and his producer display undeniable chemistry—tempo shifts, back-and-forth between sung melodies and hard-hitting verses—everything that defines Werenoi’s signature sound. Barbe Noire also produced “FC Beaudottes” and “Cordillère” for Maes.

True to form, the artist infuses the track with raw references to street life and pop culture:

“It’s violent here, better watch your words, it goes fast, they’ll curse your dead
It’s rough in the projects, it’s hot (Hot), we never miss, they’ll cry if we shock ’em”

“We’ll lift you up ten-deep like the Wu-Tang Clan, tonight you’ll pay your debt, it’s hot”

“Bro, I score more penalties than Real Madrid”

The video, gritty and immersive, shot “in the trap”, is directed by Black Anouar. Having started his career at New Times Song, he went on to found his own production company, Black Vision, and has built a solid reputation in the audiovisual world. He notably directed the series “Or Noir”, which aired on M6.

He’s also behind the visuals for HMZ and Lacrim on the track “Pour nos ennemis”, as well as “Moussa Part 1” by RK, and “Danger” by Ninho and Rimkus.
