Werenoi makes a powerful statement with the release of his new album Diamant Noir, featuring an impressive lineup of guests: Damso, Ninho, Gunna, Lil Tjay, Kalash, SDM, Vacra, and Dystinct. In less than 24 hours, the project racked up nearly 4.69 million streams on Spotify, instantly securing the biggest debut of 2025. Already crowned top-selling artist of 2023 by Le Parisien, the rapper continues his unstoppable rise. In an interview with the French daily, he set the tone right from the start: “The smartest one is the one who stays silent.”
A philosophy he had already hinted at during his appearance on BFM TV, where he confidently stated: “I keep my feet on the ground.”
After dropping a blazing collaboration with Damso and Ninho, Werenoi invited American artist Lil Tjay to bring a Bronx flair to the heart of Paris.
Werenoi and Lil Tjay are FTR!
The track’s production is handled by a high-caliber trio: DJ Bellek, Skillano, and Heer Beats. Bellek, brother of DJ Kore and head of the Morning Glory label, helped launch emerging artists like Jeune Bag B, and recently took over the artistic direction for ZKR. He’s also behind early productions for Lacrim and SCH. Skillano, a frequent collaborator of ZKR, is known for tracks like Focus and Temps Perdu, while Heer Beats produced the heavy-hitting Gulfstream for Werenoi. The vibe is unmistakably US-inspired—an aesthetic Werenoi fully embraces.
On this track, both rappers dive into full-on egotrip mode. For Werenoi, the numbers speak volumes—it’s a moment of triumph.
“I didn’t wait for rap to build my life, you think I’m doing this for fun?
Wads as tall as Shaquille O’Neal, you can’t even picture it
They play tricks, try to jam the machine
Two or three showcases, a million shocked—I run their yearly total”
Lil Tjay follows up with a sharp verse:
And I let ’em play with ’em, I bet he not
I’m tryna see the top niggas in the game
I can’t hang around with these niggas, lame
They should be ashamed, I been putting pain
The Bronx rapper survived a near-fatal shooting in 2022, taking seven bullets. Today, his recovery seems fully complete—and he’s back with a vengeance.
