Tayc hits again with Ma Lady!

In 2024, Tayc released Héritage alongside Dadju—a project that started off as something for the insiders, but quickly turned into a commercial and critical success. The album earned a platinum certification after surpassing 29,096 units sold across all formats in its very first week. Catapulted into the spotlight in both France and abroad with his emotionally-charged tracks, Tayc nevertheless surprised many with this statement on NRJ radio:

I’m not a seducer.

A bold claim—especially when his latest single does little to disprove it. With My Lady already racking up over 1.5 million views, Tayc returns with another sultry love song, carried by a smooth, summery groove.

Tayc hits again with Ma Lady!

The track is produced by MKL and Akatché. MKL is known for crafting the sonic identity of artists close to Tayc, including Dadju, for whom he’s composed hits like Paires d’As, Compliqué, and Je ne t’aime plus. He also co-produced Jamais for Ninho on the album Destin—a true heavyweight in the French music scene.

Akatché also boasts an impressive résumé, having collaborated with artists like Aya Nakamura, Scridge, Youssoupha, and MHD. One of his more recent standouts is the elegant piano-led ballad Jusqu’à la folie, performed by B.B. Jacques and Youssoupha.

Ma Lady is built on a slow BPM and sensual atmosphere—the perfect foundation for Tayc to deliver yet another heartfelt love song… from someone who, let’s not forget, claims he’s “not a seducer.”

The lyrics melt seamlessly into the instrumental:

“Et si je te demande de ne jamais te mélanger aux femmes (Yeah)
C’est parce que tu n’es pas comme elles
Non, non, toi tu es ma femme, yeah
Oh, mon amour, moi je te voulais toi, et j’suis allé te chercher, yeah
J’ai fait le tour mais maintenant que t’es là je ne veux plus jamais changer”

The video, minimalist by design, is built around a static shot. Tayc, joined by Dadju and a crowd, blends into the people around him—playing both the role of performer and observer in a subtle, cinematic tableau.

The visual was directed by Matéo Da Silva, one of the rising names in the French rap visual scene. He’s recently helmed videos for Tout pour l’équipe by L2B, Problèmes by Liims, and the high-profile collab TI TI TI featuring Gradur, SDM, and RSKO.
