Brussels-based artist Seka is back with his latest video Job, giving us a glimpse into his day-to-day life, surrounded by his crew. Produced by Pouchka Visual, this video captures Seka’s authenticity as he establishes himself as a rising star in the Belgian rap scene.
At just 22, Seka stands out with sounds heavily influenced by the American trap scene, especially from Florida, Atlanta, and Memphis. Drawing inspiration from big names like Real Boston Richey, Young Thug, Lil Baby, and the UK collective D-Block Europe, Seka crafts a powerful style with rich, impactful beats. His choices in flow and production reflect his affinity for modern rap that stays true to hip-hop roots while remaining fresh and relevant.
Of Belgian and Congolese descent, Seka grew up in modest surroundings, immersed in the American R&B and soul his mother loved. Influenced by a challenging upbringing and his older brother’s absence, he sees music as both a means of expression and a path to financial independence. Starting out with recordings in his bedroom, he shared his work locally at events and later posted his first video on his 16th birthday.
The release of his project Southside Story in June 2023 marked a major turning point in his career. This more mature, thoughtful project allowed him to reach a broader audience. Today, Seka collaborates with prominent figures in music production, including Binksbeatz, Gapman, Big B, Dafliky ThaHomey, Pouchka, and Alan Benoit, driven by his ambition to make a lasting impact in rap. Creative and passionate, Seka isn’t just following trends—he’s setting them, offering his audience a unique perspective on Belgian rap.
