Rim’K released his EP “Run” on January 10, 2025, featuring collaborations with SDM and TH. The rapper has just unveiled “Café noisette”, the latest standout visual from this EP. Rim’K is known for dropping surprise “EPs”, as he did a few months ago with “Trap House” and previously with “ADN”.
A key member of 113 and the La Mafia K1 Fry collective, Rim’K is one of the first rappers to win a Victoires de la Musique award, solidifying his status as a foundational figure in French rap. Unlike many of his peers, he has effortlessly embraced new musical trends, making the evolution of his craft his personal mission. After 25 years at the top of the music scene, he continues to push the boundaries with highly intricate projects and singles, experimenting with fresh sounds while staying true to the essence of his style.
Rim’K takes a “Café noisette”!
The instrumental composition of this track is by Rosaliedu38 and Lasso, two producers who perfectly blend innovation and tradition. Rosaliedu38, who recently crafted several tracks for Ziak on “Essonne History X”, including “Room” and “Rien ne se remplace”, adds a subtle melodic touch to the production. The composition is built around a soft, enveloping melody that balances between the vibe of tracks like “Boom” by Royce DA 5’9 and a more modern, daring approach. With its autotuned chorus and powerful rapped verses, this track perfectly captures Rim’K‘s ability to bridge two eras of rap with remarkable ease.
The punchlines speak for themselves, as Rim’K takes stock:
“You don’t see me on the corners anymore (Yeah)
My face is in the museum like the Mona Lisa
I want to be one of the greats in this world
I don’t say a word when I’m in the taxi”
The visual for “Café noisette” takes us into Rim’K‘s luxurious life, without overdoing the bling-bling. No California clichés here, Tonton opts for understated elegance. Directed by Noé Poulin, who also directed his collaboration with SDM on the track “Run” from the same EP, this clip follows the same refined visual style, mixing class and subtlety.
