RIF LE TOSS, born as RIF, entered the world on March 1st in the Toulouse region of southern France. From an early age, he developed a deep passion for singing and writing, already seeing music as his calling. At just two years old, a tragic household accident changed his life forever—he lost a foot and spent much of his childhood in and out of hospitals. That experience shaped his character. Driven by a fierce determination, he began writing, composing, and recording demos on a cassette deck, teaching himself everything from scratch. A local rap concert his father took him to sparked something powerful in him: he knew then and there that he wanted to be on stage.
Nicknamed “Le Toss” as a nod to his Portuguese roots, RIF LE TOSS began making a name for himself through rap battles and opening sets for major French rap artists like Sefyu, Alibi Montana, and Kalash L’Afro. In 2006, he dropped his first street album, “État d’esprit”, followed in 2010 by “Soldat”, produced alongside engineer Michel Vergine. His growing popularity was further amplified by an appearance on Skyrock during Planète Rap, the iconic show hosted for Mister You. Between 2011 and 2013, he ramped up his output, releasing multiple singles, videos, and the collaborative album “Devoir de Mémoire”, uniting artists and producers from across France.
After stepping away to raise his daughter as a single father, RIF relocated to Paris, where he first experienced life on the streets before rebuilding himself with relentless dedication. It was in Seine-Saint-Denis that he found a new wellspring of inspiration, drawn from the area’s cultural richness and human complexity. In 2024, he made a defining move with the single “100%”, co-produced with two multi-certified beatmakers. That track paved the way for a string of powerful releases: “Né pour briller”, “Love du Ghetto”, “Madame Pink Lady”, “La Vie est un Combat”, “Foi Você”, and “Démons”. On February 14, 2025, he returned with “Le Masque Tombe”, a deeply introspective track exploring themes like betrayal, jealousy, and staying focused on one’s goals. Each song captures a chapter of his story, a message, an emotion.

Authentic, passionate, and deeply human, RIF LE TOSS connects with listeners through his raw honesty and sincere lyrics. His music is a reflection of personal, social, and emotional experiences, resonating with an ever-growing audience. Grounded in values like resilience, unity, and self-empowerment, he stands as a unique voice in French rap—breaking barriers and uniting people through music.
Most recently, he made waves with a powerful collaboration featuring Demon One on the track “VCR” (Values, Courage, Respect). A founding member of the legendary Mafia K’1 Fry collective, Demon represents an entire era of French hip-hop. Together, they revive the essence of conscious, authentic rap—firmly rooted in the 94 district, especially the golden triangle of Vitry–Orly–Choisy.
As always, RIF LE TOSS played a central role in crafting the track—writing, composing, and performing. He joined forces with Claro Beats, a heavyweight producer known for working with Kaza (notably on “HRTBRK #3” and “#5”), as well as Timal on “Copilote”, and artists like Gazo, Naps, and Jul. Claro Beats boasts an impressive track record with four diamond, fourteen platinum, and twenty-one gold certifications. Together, they created a minimalist yet hard-hitting production, letting the MCs showcase their flows with confidence.
RIF delivers a sharp line: “I hang with dudes who look stoned but cash out more than your boss,” while Demon One throws it back to his roots with the legendary line from “Pour ceux” by Mafia K’1 Fry: “Don’t play with me.”
The music video, raw and true to the spirit of street rap, was directed by RIF LE TOSS himself. It offers an immersive glimpse into their world—real, intense, and full of brotherhood—capturing the essence of underground hip-hop.
