Moubarak comes back Boosted like never before!

The artistic journey of Moubarak is nothing short of a success story within Jul‘s label. Signed under D’or et de Platine, the Marseille-born artist started by following in his mentor’s footsteps, delivering “high-energy” tracks, often described as “à la Jul”. This signature style, which has helped shape the reputation of D’or et de Platine, quickly crossed borders. Moubarak even admits that he has rediscovered his influences as far as Sweden. Over time, he has carved out a more personal artistic identity, exploring more introspective and melancholic sounds.

The turning point in his career came with Épreuve, a conceptual album where every track was visually brought to life by DBR. Through this ambitious project, Moubarak refined his artistic direction and established himself as a force to be reckoned with. Today, he effortlessly moves between different musical landscapes and unveils Solide, a project featuring notable collaborations with Ghost Dog and Grek!. Alongside the release, he is also pushing the visual for Boosted to amplify the impact of this new body of work.

Moubarak comes back Boosted like never before!

The production on this project is crafted by LVKOS, a talented beatmaker who leaves his mark on three tracks from Solide, including Boosted and Regarde nos visages. The instrumental blends an intense, almost Baile Funk-style rhythm with a melancholic piano sample, creating a bold fusion that enhances the rapper’s heartfelt lyrics. Moubarak delivers his story and aspirations with raw honesty:

“I am strong, I don’t want you to worry / Tonight you own up, tonight you regret”

The music video for Boosted is another creative piece by DBR, a long-time collaborator of Moubarak. This prolific duo has already delivered outstanding visuals for J’ai mes raisons, Corps griffé, and Cristalline. Once again, DBR opts for a conceptual approach, portraying Moubarak from behind, moving through locations that hold deep personal meaning. This artistic direction highlights, yet again, the rapper’s distinctive creativity and storytelling ability.
