Loumana, a composer and DJ from Burkina Faso, and Anthéna, a Malagasy-origin rapper born in Rouen, embody two rich and complementary musical journeys. Now based in Brussels, they blend their worlds to push the boundaries of musical genres.
Loumana, shaped by a childhood spent across five African countries, made his mark in 2019 with Géométrie, an EP that fused electronic, hip-hop, and ambient sounds. In 2023, he released Places, an introspective work delving into self-discovery. Anthéna, with a passion for rap and electro, began his career with Slide in 2019 before showcasing his unique style in Ghetto House (2022), a seamless blend of afro beats and ghetto-house rhythms.
Their joint project, Nethaan, released in November, features seven standout tracks such as Lisboa Coca and Nuits Fauves. Through this album, they raise awareness about the dangers of drug use in nightlife while delivering an immersive and thought-provoking musical experience.
