Leto tells the story of “Trahison pour du papers”!

Leto released the EP Thug Ceremony in November 2025. Following Life—a more musically open project that divided part of his audience by moving away from traditional rap codes—the artist makes a clear return to his foundations here. Thug Ceremony positions itself as a rawer, more focused release, driven by a strong lineup of features including Niska, Joé Dwèt Filé, 1PLIKE140, La Mano 1.9, IDS, Zed and Jeune Morty.

In its first week of release, Leto sold nearly 4,366 copies, a slightly stronger result than Life, which opened with 4,033 sales. A solid start that aligns with the project’s more direct, rap-oriented approach.

Originally from Porte de Saint-Ouen, Leto continues this momentum with the release of the visual for Trahison pour du papers, an accessible and melodic track carried by a brighter atmosphere than its title might suggest.

The instrumental production is handled by Eduardo, Scvrla and YATSS. A member of Winterfel Music, Scvrla is one of the beatmakers who has been working closely with Leto, alongside Raed, for several years. His signature sound is well known to listeners, with numerous standout productions ranging from God Bless to Mathématique, and Tout gâché.

Eduardo and YATSS are also heavily involved throughout Thug Ceremony. They notably produced Sal Mélodie, the collaboration between Rsko and Leto. On Trahison pour du papers, the production deliberately adopts a brighter tone, built around an effective guitar-driven melody. Leto delivers several punchlines centered on the theme of “trahisons pour le papers”, blending clarity with disillusionment:

“He fronted you the money, you didn’t pay your debts, and he did you dirty”

“I pour what’s left of my feelings into every poem”

“No ring on her finger, she’s reckless, it’s been a long time since she’s had a heart”

The visual is directed by Léo Mazzoni, who delivers a clip with a strong urban aesthetic, built like a true high-octane street rodeo. Highly active within the French rap scene, Léo Mazzoni has notably directed the visuals for 34 by Mister You and Ninho, 77 Degrés featuring RK, UZI, Timal, ISK, Negrito and Sensey’, as well as Loyauté by Rohff. A collaboration that fits seamlessly into the continuity of Leto’s recent standout visuals.
