Leto goes back to basics with Mozart Capitaine Jackson, Episode 4!

Leto returns to his roots, reconnecting with the raw, unfiltered rap that first defined him. A few months ago, he dropped the project Life, a more accessible release with upbeat, club-friendly vibes. A bold artistic pivot — yet one that still earned him over 4,000 sales in its very first week.

Still young, Leto is no rookie. Back in the early 2010s, he was already dropping freestyles with his longtime friend Aero. Together, they laid the foundation for what would become the iconic duo PSO Thug. Later, Leto went solo and launched the mixtape series Trap$tar, a bold promise of success that he fulfilled with the third volume, released after 100 Visages. He’s seen entire generations of rappers come and go, he said during an interview with YARD back in 2020 — a testament to his rare staying power in an ever-changing game.

Now, Leto is circling back to the core of his craft: unapologetic street rap, fueled by the grit of Paris and inspired by the sounds of the USA. His comeback is marked by the release of Mozart Capitaine Jackson, Episode 4 — and it hits hard.

Leto goes back to basics with Mozart Capitaine Jackson, Episode 4!

On the production side, no surprises — just certified heat. Raed and Scvrla, longtime collaborators and both signed to Winterfel, are back behind the boards. Having already crafted Episode 2 of Mozart Capitaine Jackson, they return here to further shape the project’s sonic identity.

Leto’s past collaborations speak volumes about his range and consistency: tracks like Jamais on stresse, Sentiments billet de 100, Gangsta et célèbre, Je crois qu’ils ont pas compris, and J’ai l’impression showcase an artist equally comfortable with introspective lyrics and street-certified bangers.

This new track is no exception — it hits like a sledgehammer, delivered in that slightly rician style Leto has made his trademark:

Manipulated by the angel on the left (Hin-hin)
He’s pushing product, watching the line of geush move up (I swear)
We’re still out in the streets though we know it’s our lives we’re wasting (Let’s go)
We’re about to speed up your downfall (Hehe)
It’s your head we’re about to take off (Woo)
This mystery — we’re about to solve it (Let’s go)

The video, produced by NoColor, fits right into the lane of gritty, authentic street clips. Shot between the United States and France, it blends shadowy aesthetics with urban realism. The production team, a recognized name in the scene, previously worked on collabs between Saamou and Genezio, the joint track featuring Timal, Leto, and Gradur titled 10 ans d’âge, and, of course, the fan-favorite Sentiments billet de 100 music video.
