Last January, Kerchak made a strong impression with his project Saison 2, featuring prestigious collaborations with Ziak (notably on the powerful “T’aimerais”, which revives the tradition of choral backgrounds), as well as Dinos, Gambi, Rnboi, and Houdi. Known for his jersey style and bold artistic approach, Kerchak continues to push boundaries and introduce innovative concepts. With 500 million streams on Spotify, he solidifies his impact on the music scene. Now, he’s back with a captivating double single, “Fake” and “Cam”, echoing the return of his alter ego Ziak with Essonne Projet X. This double single, as intriguing as it is daring, delves into a mesmerizing universe. Kerchak explores entirely dreamlike musical territories: “Fake” blends autotuned vocals with a dark and immersive atmosphere, while “Cam” marks a return to his roots.
Kerchak unveils the double single “Fake” and “Cam”!
His previous single, COCVINV, already showcased his conceptual approach. To address a trending new drug, the artist used allegories in his video, portraying white powder as a passionate love affair. With “Fake”, Kerchak loses none of his audacity.
The instrumental production of “Fake”, crafted by Franklin and Lowonstage, is nothing short of remarkable. Lowonstage, a producer from Lille, has collaborated extensively with Ziak, notably on tracks like “Chrome” and “Vautours”. He also produced “T’aimerais” by Kerchak featuring Ziak. In “Fake”, the producers, Kerchak, and the visuals by MTR.ai Gael Movie come together to create a gripping parallel universe. Kerchak invites us to immerse ourselves fully in his exceptional artistic world.
With “Cam”, Kerchak returns to the essence of his artistry. The composition, signed by Omarski, who has also worked with talents like Bag Jeune B, a rising star from Morning Glory, perfectly illustrates Kerchak‘s signature expertise.
On “Cam”, the artist delivers a series of gimmicks and punchlines with impeccable control, elevated by a hard-hitting instrumental. Some of the punchlines stand out for their boldness, such as: “Damn, her lip is red; poor guy, I gave him makeup.”
With this double single, Kerchak proves once again that he is one of the most inventive and avant-garde “jersey-drillers” of his generation.
