Meanwhile, L2B operate in a very different space. Their ambitious project “Nés pour briller”, split into three volumes—each dedicated to one member of the group—won over a wide audience. Hailing from Champigny-sur-Marne, the L2B are known for crafting urban, upbeat, and celebratory tracks. Their collaboration with Kerchak on “Nirvana” delivers a surprising stylistic crossover, with each side stepping closer to the other. The single’s cover art cleverly reimagines the iconic “Nevermind” artwork from Nirvana, replacing the baby with Kerchak.
The track itself stands as an anthem to success and self-empowerment, marking a symbolic milestone for both artists.
Kerchak and L2B drop “Nirvana”!
The production is signed by Shiruken Music and Franklin. Shiruken Music, who previously worked with Kerchak on “Peur”, also produced tracks like “Rappel” for Gazo and “Fleurs”. Franklin, a guitarist and beatmaker, is behind the standout “T’aimerais” by Kerchak and Ziak, as well as “Calme-toi”. Together they deliver a more laid-back production than usual for Kerchak, creating the perfect space for introspective lyrics. On “Nirvana”, Kerchak and L2B celebrate ambition and personal achievement, with lines like:
“Faut qu’j’devienne une star de la pop comme les Nirvana, ah
Je sais que j’peux compter qu’sur moi
Personne nous a tirés quand on était en bas”
The video, which juxtaposes artistic performance with the determination of athletes in action, was directed by Léo Joubert. He has already made a name for himself with notable visuals such as “Les Zhommes” by Danyl and Zamdane, “Dernière escale” by Meryl, and “Bataille” (Affamée #18). His work perfectly captures the intensity and determination at the core of the track.
