Keblack promises to “see you from time to time”!

Keblack and Franglish have reached a significant milestone by hitting 40 million views together with their iconic track “Boucan”. Today, Keblack is officially back in the spotlight with the release of his brand-new single, “Bababa”. This upbeat track is complemented by a striking visual, featuring captivating storytelling and well-known public figures.

The instrumental composition of the track is the work of Max & Seny, the beatmaking duo behind the success of “Boucan”. Their talent doesn’t stop there, as they have also collaborated with Franglish on “Trop Parler” and with Tiakola on “Reste là”. True to their style, the production of “Bababa” stands out with its smoothness, driven by a minimalist, refined melody—far from being overproduced.

The lyrics depict a budding romance between the rapper and a young woman:

“I pull up mad on the bike in your hood (Hood)
And if your dad doesn’t approve of the dowry, I’ll empty the safe (Safe)”

In both the song and the music video, Keblack does not get the blessing from his lover’s father for their union. In the video, the father is portrayed by Passi. Additionally, Naza, who was once signed with Keblack at Bomayé, makes a notable appearance. The music video is directed by Warren NAVANGI, who had previously worked on two clips for rapper Zikxo, including the powerful visual for “Déjà Mort”.
