ISK, a young rapper making waves with his hard-hitting Vérités and sharp punchlines, dropped his project Hannibal Part 1 on July 24. Featuring major names like Lesram, Kaaris, Mola, and KLM, the album reaches a high point with the seventh episode of his freestyle series Vérité, closing out a relentless, intense tracklist. Recently, the artist released a new single titled Casse-tête in collaboration with La Plaie and Fresh La Douille. In an immersive video shot in the heart of the city with the local community, the three rappers proudly represent their respective districts: 77, 94, and 95.
ISK, Fresh La Douille, and La Plaie bring their best in “Casse-tête”!
The instrumental for “Casse-tête” was crafted by the talented Lucas.jpeg, who has previously worked with Niaks on Darement and collaborated with TRZ on Ping Pong. The production, classic yet effective, is elevated with a touch of autotune on the hook, while the verses deliver a powerful barrage of punchlines, making it a technically impressive and well-crafted track.
La Plaie kicks things off with a striking line: “Ils sont comme des t., ils se prennent des grandes poutres. Ta concubine fait le grand écart, elle t’a plumé comme le Roi des C.” ISK follows with, “Une fois monté dans le bateau, tu peux pas descendre, gros.” and finally, Fresh La Douille wraps it up with his signature touch: “C’est vrai qu’avant c’était la guerre, il se passait des choses terribles.”
The explosive video, featuring a large crowd of extras, pays homage to iconic visuals like Pour ceux by Mafia K’1 Fry, directed by Kourtrajmé. Directed by Kespey, the video captures the raw energy of the track. Kespey, who recently directed Un vœu for Bouss, also worked on videos for 13 Organisé 2, including standout tracks like Mental 13, Sous le soleil, and Fiché by Negrito and L2B.
