“Hermes”: Gazo is back in full force!

From the very start, Gazo made his mark by spearheading the “DRILL FR” wave with his eponymous project. In an interview with Booska Colombien, he revealed that he was on the verge of quitting music. Ultimately, the Drill movement catapulted him to the top of the French rap scene, making him one of the three most-streamed artists on Spotify in France since the release of his project “KMF”.

Over time, Gazo expanded his musical horizons, notably collaborating with Tiakola on a joint album. Initially, during his Booska Colombien interview for “Wesh”, he had planned just one “non-Drill” track for his second project, but he ultimately surprised his audience.

In 2024, he made a massive impact with “Apocalypse”, an album featuring high-profile collaborations with Fally Ipupa, Yamê, Offset, Jul, Morad, Orelsan, and La Mano 1.9. This all-star lineup propelled him straight to number one on the Top Albums chart, amassing nearly 40,000 sales in its first week and edging close to gold certification. Always raising the stakes, Gazo then returned to his roots with “Hermes”, a bold track that blends flashy bravado with raw street energy.

“Hermes”: Gazo is back in full force!

Behind the track’s hard-hitting instrumental is a trio of talented beatmakers: SHK, Rayane Beats, and Boy Blunt. SHK, who had previously worked with Gazo on “Molly”, brings his signature touch once again. Rayane Beats, signed to Sony/ATV, has earned a name for himself with multiple placements for Freeze Corleone and contributed to “S/O Le Flem” by Django. Meanwhile, Boy Blunt had previously worked with Gazo on “NANANI NANANA”. Together, they deliver an explosive, gritty drill production, providing the perfect playground for Gazo.

Sharp-tongued egotrip, catchy gimmicks, and extravagant bling—Gazo stays at the top of his game:

“Tant qu’y aura du pain, on enchaînera les missions (Mad),
Il m’a serré la main, il est dans la commission (Boulette)
Mon shooter prend des baveux, bientôt, il s’ra plus en prison (Bientôt, il s’ra plus en mission)”

The music video, filmed aboard a private jet between Le Bourget and Zurich, showcases Gazo at his most flamboyant. Directed by Arthur Keasy, who previously helmed videos like “Pélican” by L2B, as well as “Brrr” by Kore, Alonzo, and ElGrandeToto, plus “Probation” by Gazo and “Movie” by L2N, the visuals are as striking as the track itself.

Gazo takes flight again with “Hermes”!
