Hamza makes a strong comeback with his studio album “Sincèrement”, following the release of “Paradise”. In between, the Brussels-based artist dropped several projects, including the hard-hitting drill mixtape “140 BPM 2”. In an interview with Mehdi Maïzi on Le Code, Hamza shared his growing fatigue with the drill scene — a feeling that led him back to a more introspective and melodic sound. This artistic shift traces back to “1994”, the project that first introduced his signature cloud rap style. With over 180,000 units sold and a staggering 7.3 million streams within 24 hours, “Sincèrement” ranked as the second best-selling French-language album in France in 2023.
Following this success, Hamza unveiled “Mania”, a bold new project featuring standout collaborations with Werenoi, Byron Messia, and Rema. The video for the track “Encore une nuit” was recently released — a black-and-white visual that complements the song’s pulsating rhythm and immersive vibe, signaling a new chapter in his sonic journey.
Hamza drops the video for “Encore une nuit”!
The track is produced by longtime collaborator Ponko, the mastermind behind much of Hamza’s early sound. Their creative partnership dates back to classic cuts like “Life”, “1994”, and “Juste une minute”. Ponko also crafted essential tracks such as “God Bless”, “La Sauce”, and “HS”, and frequently teamed up with Damso on standout tracks like “BXL Zoo”, “Perplexe”, and “Passion”. On “Encore une nuit”, he delivers a tightly constructed beat, while Hamza’s muffled, emotive voice glides across the melody with surgical precision.
“I believe in God ’cause even the devil believes in God, yeah (Yeah, yeah)
There was no one for me before I popped
There was no one for you before I popped, yeah, murda
As fast as you rise, you can fall in the same elevator”
The black-and-white clip features Hamza in a luxurious setting, framed by a high-end car and a stunning vixen. The minimalist yet elegant aesthetic amplifies the impact of this short but striking track — clocking in at just 1 minute and 18 seconds, it leaves a lasting impression.
