In 2022, Graya unveiled the album “Réincarnation” featuring collaborations with Ninho, Chilla, Zaho, Nasdas, and Dr Yaro & La Folie. Since then, the Marseille artist has not released a new project. However, he is making a comeback with the first episode of his freestyle series titled “Mode de Vie #1”. Both in substance and style, he pays homage to UK rap and especially to Central CEE: “je la découpe comme Central CEE.”
Graya Details His “Mode de Vie”!
The instrumental composition of the track is by Gas Shawty. The beatmaker has collaborated with Garp on the track “Kakashi Hatake” and with Moli on the track “Z ust”. The production, influenced by UK rap, features a guitar arpeggio sample that wraps around the track. Graya establishes his new style on this beat by delivering hard-hitting punchlines.
It’s egotrip with a touch of melancholy: “J’avais rien, j’étais comme Toto”; “Faire des chiffres, on est bon qu’à ça”; “Le singe sort du zoo mais je suis un gorille.”
The minimalistic yet effective clip was directed by YZ Production. The director has worked with KYZI on the track “Met les gaz” and with Seth Gueko and most Lyon rappers on the track “Barlou Lyonnais”.
