The DVM Show is currently one of the most popular rap shows. Always striving for innovation, its team has just unveiled the ambitious project “Dans vos mères”, a compilation bringing together several iconic rap figures. To make a strong impression from the start, DVM called upon one of the most controversial rappers in the game: Freeze Corleone.
Several years ago, the artist made a significant impact on the music scene with “La Menace Fantôme”, a project that made waves in the charts. However, he was soon caught up in controversy due to accusations of anti-Semitism. Some tracks were banned from radio, and streaming platforms even threatened to remove the album. The controversy escalated to the point where Roselyne Bachelot, then Minister of Culture, had to answer a question about it during a parliamentary session. A few years later, Freeze Corleone returned with “L’Attaque des Clones”, continuing the chronology of the Star Wars saga. Despite achieving gold record status in just a few weeks, the album remained uncertified due to his decision to distribute it independently through his own website. Though less controversial than its predecessor, this album remains sharp and impactful. Today, Freeze Corleone is the first artist to inaugurate this compilation.
Freeze Corleone introduces the “DVM Show” project with a powerful intro track!
The musical production of this track is handled by a trio of talented beatmakers: DJ Belleck, Heer Beats, and SkyzOnDaTrack. A true reference in French rap, DJ Belleck, producer and composer of the collective Morning Glory, is also the brother of DJ Kore. He recently contributed to the rise of ZKR, while Heer Beats has also collaborated with him on several tracks. Morning Glory is now managing the emergence of new talents like Bag Jeune B. The track’s instrumental, blending old school and new school influences, skillfully combines nostalgic sounds from the golden age of French rap with a modern and powerful rhythm.
Staying true to his unique style, the artist delivers a dark and esoteric egotrip filled with cryptic references:
“Professor Chen, I’m just correcting them
They’re no longer rappers, I think they’re Les Choristes (Eh)
They believe their own lies so much they cap (Cap)
I’ve been grinding for a long time before they even caught on”
The music video, immersed in absolute darkness, fits perfectly into the occult universe of 667 and is directed by Kubrik. He had previously distinguished himself by directing the music video “Step” by Gambaa and Ashe22, the latter being an influential member of Lyonzon, alongside Freeze Corleone
