In 2023, Favé took a major leap with his debut album, “Il le fallait”, released under the Morning Glory imprint. The project, packed with high-profile collaborations – Gazo, SO La Lune and Mougli – quickly went gold. The hit single “Flashback” with Gazo went even further, earning platinum certification.
The label Morning Glory, founded by DJ Bellek, has become a breeding ground for new talent, signing artists such as Bag Jeune B, Yoko from Sarcelles, Testri, and more recently Zé. Favé now stands as one of its leading figures. After the success of “Il le fallait”, fans are eagerly awaiting “Plein Phares”.
Favé and Genezio set the pace
True to its formula, Morning Glory handed the production to its powerhouse duo: DJ Bellek and Skillano. A team known for their close collaboration, they previously worked on “Time” by Favé featuring Arrdee, as well as recent tracks from Decimo and Zé. They also crafted “FTR” for the late Werenoi. As the mastermind behind the label’s sound, DJ Bellek was even praised by Favé himself in an interview with Raplume for his meticulous work on “Mode opératoire”.
Deeply influenced by American rap, Favé moves seamlessly between trap, drill, and US-inspired sounds. Yet with this new track, he shifts gears: the vibe is lighter, the production more “easy”, broadening his musical spectrum. A fresh track, both accessible and engaging.
On the visual side, the egotrip is front and center: studio shots, flashy cars, and glamorous models, all captured through the lens of FIFOU, a key figure in French rap photography, renowned for his iconic Youssoupha covers and his work on “JVLIVS” by SCH. The video, produced by Avlanche and directed by Thomas Clément, delivers a polished artistic vision. The director, who has already teamed up with Avlanche on several ad campaigns, also worked with them on the short film “Safety First”, released last July.
