Djadja & Dinaz grew up together in Meaux, in the working-class neighborhood of La Pierre-Collinet. Their deep bond, forged from childhood, gradually evolved into a powerful musical partnership. In 2015, they released the track “J’fais mes affaires”, later featured on their debut album On s’promet. The now-iconic video has since amassed over 116 million views on YouTube. On the album cover, the two artists seal a pact of friendship — a promise they’ve never broken. During their appearance on Planète Rap on Skyrock, host Fred asked if they’d ever considered going solo. Their answer, delivered with a laugh, was clear: there will never be a Djadja without Dinaz, nor a Dinaz without Djadja. While they occasionally drop solo tracks within their joint projects, the strength of the duo remains intact.
Since then, their rise has been unstoppable. With Spleen, released in 2021, they earned a triple platinum certification. Their album Alpha achieved platinum status. And their latest release, Terminal 7, opened with a bang — 50,000 units sold in just two weeks, earning them a gold record. This new project explores a range of styles. While it opens with the raw energy of Tenue de Motard, a nod to their street-rap roots, it’s Gucci Gucci that delivers the album’s standout summer hit.
Djadja & Dinaz drop their summer banger with Gucci Gucci!
The track’s production is handled by Plm Prod, who is only credited on this one release by Djadja & Dinaz on Genius. The beat is laced with subtle guitar riffs, giving it a light Latin touch. The overall vibe is festive and vibrant — far from the melancholic tones found on some of the album’s other cuts. There’s even a hint of Marseille-inspired rap energy in the rhythm. Lyrically, Djadja & Dinaz go for a laid-back ego trip, referencing a “Madame” and their street origins — a theme they approach here with a fresh twist.
“She’s cute, I make her nervous
There’s heat between us, it’s spicy
My crazy side says yes
My paranoid side says no”
Then comes the chorus:
“I pull up in Gucci Gucci
Madame, I’m taking her to Italy
Van Cleef bracelet in a Ferrari
Chanel bag, Chanel”
And they continue:
“The block keeps calling me
It’s real bullets flying here
You wanna see the truth?
We’re on the run and the cops are digging”
The music video, drenched in sunlight, takes viewers on a summer escape — jetskis, luxury settings, and vacation vibes. Directed by Transac, one of the most prolific visual artists of the moment, the clip reinforces the track’s vibrant energy.
