Darkoss – Laissez Moi

Darkoss is an artist originally from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, who grew up in Saint-Ouen, in the Arago neighborhood. Immersed in music from an early age, he quickly developed a deep passion for rap. After a forced break, he made a powerful comeback with his freestyle series “DLB” (“Dans le Bourbier”), earning growing street recognition in the Parisian underground scene.

His EP “Temps Plein”, released on March 31, 2025, marks a significant new chapter in his artistic journey. The first visual from the project, “Laissez-moi”, is already available. To support the release, Darkoss created and launched a mini-series of the same name, “Temps Plein”, offering a behind-the-scenes look into his creative world.

As the showrunner of the series, Darkoss paints a raw and realistic portrait of life in the neighborhood. The story unfolds in a “trap house” in the heart of Saint-Ouen, where every detail feels drawn from real experience. His precise knowledge of this urban environment brings an unfiltered authenticity to the narrative. Each character plays their role, and the minimalist, unpolished setting reflects the harshness of daily life. Between unsung heroes and forgotten souls, Darkoss sketches a deeply human tableau, tinged with melancholy — a way for him to process a past he’s still trying to overcome through art.

The track “Laissez-moi”, also supported by a scripted visual, continues this lucid take on life in the streets. Produced by BNL, the instrumental blends tension with groove, giving Darkoss the space to unleash his storytelling skills:

“This ain’t LOLs, that’s not tomato sauce on the floor / Watch how we move, you’ll see you picked the wrong role”
“We save time / We make money.”

The music video, directed by v10Film, aligns perfectly with the project’s overall vision. The same directors also handled the mini-series, ensuring consistency in both style and storytelling. Narrative is clearly central to Darkoss‘s creative universe — his music draws directly from lived experience, without embellishment or cliché. He embraces the pain he’s lived through, and the losses he still carries with him.
