Benab says “À jamais”!

A few years after making waves with Drapeau blanc, Benab returns with force through Drapeau noir, featuring collaborations with Zokush, Anas, Fresh LaDouille, Danyl, Mig, and RYM. The artist has recently released a re-edition of this ambitious project. In a Sevran music scene largely dominated by trap and drill, Benab, alongside Imen ES and Gibs, offers a captivating musical alternative. His latest single, À jamais, freshly unveiled, is a poignant introspection on the loss of a loved one.

Benab says “À jamais”!

The instrumental production of this track is signed by the talented Anibeatz and Prodweiler. The latter has already collaborated with Maes on Omerta and has produced for artists like Ridsa and Nej. Equally adept at producing hard-hitting rap tracks and more melodic pieces, he’s one of the preferred beatmakers for Benab. Anibeatz, on the other hand, is a key figure in beatmaking, having worked with Booba on hits like Mona Lisa and Pompeii. He’s also behind the popular Vérité series by ISK. Together, they deliver a soft, nostalgia-filled composition infused with emotion.

In this track, the artist from Sevran expresses his grief over the loss of a close friend:

“We said: ‘See you later’
But ‘later’ turned into ‘never’
And late at night, I think of you
I light one up beneath the stars”

The music video, shot in the majestic canyons of the United States, features Benab standing alone in the vast landscape. This metaphorical video, directed by 10 Creation, perfectly captures the melancholic mood of the song. The director has previously worked with GLK on 100 pas and with AM La Scampia on 1092.
