In July 2023, Benab unveiled his album “Drapeau blanc” featuring Naza, Timal, and Lynda. Hailing from Sevran, a focal point for Trap and Drill, the artist operates in a distinctive style, akin to Imen ES, leaning more towards singing than rap. He frequently collaborates with beatmaker Bersa, also from Sevran. Following the track of PNL regarding Gaza, Benab also decided to issue a distress call for this region suffering under the intense bombardments of a country that has lost its sanity. The title “Motaz Azaiza” refers to a recognized Palestinian journalist.
Benab Issues a Distress Call for Palestine!
After the attacks by Hamas in Israel, the Israeli government, represented by the far-right and Likoud in power, initiated the “eradication of Hamas.” Furthermore, the civilian population in Gaza paid a heavy toll in this war. According to Le Monde dated three days ago, there have been 24,000 deaths in Gaza, constituting a true massacre. Israel’s declared military objectives are insufficient to appease international discontent. Even France, under the leadership of Emmanuel Macron, who initially supported the armed intervention, now advocates for a ceasefire.
The instrumental production for this call for help was composed by Ani Beatz. This composer produced the tracks “Mona Lisa” and “Pompeii” for JSX and Booba. He also composed the track “Vérité 4” for ISK, a classic. The instrumental composition is poetic, much like the message of peace conveyed by this piece. Benab comes to raise the “Drapeau Blanc“.
