A few weeks ago, Ashe 22 unveiled the first track from his “Movie Tape 2” with “Intro VVV”, a dark and intense single that perfectly fits his artistic universe. Now, he’s back with a second extract, “7AR”, further cementing his rise and setting the stage for what’s next.
Ashe 22 blends melancholy and power with “7AR”!
A refined and immersive production
The beat for this track is crafted by a trio of producers: Camaya, Mohand, and Jerzeÿ. The latter has already collaborated with top-tier French rap artists such as Lacrim, Kery James, and Werenoi. Mohand, a Paris-based producer, has worked with Sianna, Sadek, and Rémy. Lastly, Camaya, often teaming up with Jerzeÿ, contributed to the production of “Le Poète Noir” by Kery James and “Main Moite” by Lacrim.
While Ashe 22, his crew Lyonzon, and his close collaborator Freeze Corleone have always represented the essence of drill, especially French Drill, the production of “7AR” takes a slightly different approach. This time, piano and violin melodies bring a deep, cinematic vibe, adding an emotional layer to the track. However, make no mistake—there’s no room for “zumba” or “salsa” here. Ashe 22 remains true to his roots, delivering raw, street-focused storytelling with an undeniable sense of authenticity.
Sharp lyricism, blending intensity and precision
“Méchant, tu m’connais, j’ai jamais déconné
J’en refais un d’frozen, comme si j’avais décollé
On les fait disparaître comme Houdini (Big 2-2)
Cagoulé dans Lamborghini (2-2)”
With razor-sharp bars and unfiltered lyricism, Ashe 22 continues to refine his craft, showcasing a deadly combination of technical mastery and raw delivery.
A striking visual to match the energy
For “7AR”, the Lyon-based rapper delivers a high-quality music video, cruising through the upscale streets of Paris in a Lamborghini. The contrast between luxury backdrops and the track’s chilling atmosphere is striking. As always, the visuals are handled by Piège Studio, the team behind his most recent clips, including “Intro VVV”, “KH-22”, and “Caracas”.
With “7AR”, Ashe 22 once again proves that he’s not here to compromise. Combining elite production with his signature dark aesthetic, he solidifies his place as a key figure in the French drill movement.
