Ashe 22 and JKNS deliver a raw, unapologetic 6 chiffres

Ashe 22 has just unveiled his highly anticipated Movie Tape 2. In one of his rare interviews, the iconic member of the Lyonzon collective sat down with Mehdi Maïzi on Le Code, where he opened up about his desire to reconnect with his artistic roots—much like he did with the release of Movie Tape 1. This introspective approach mirrors Maes‘s own direction on Réelle Vie 3.0, a pivotal project in his career.

Several visuals from the new tape have already been released, including the hard-hitting INTRO VVV, as well as 7AR and 1212, in collaboration with KLM. Continuing in that spirit, Ashe 22 also joins forces with 3arbi, adding even more sonic depth and influence to the mixtape.

One of the project’s standout moments is the track 6 chiffres, featuring JKNS. Driven by a dark-toned Baile Funk rhythm, the track fits seamlessly into the shadowy world of Ashe 22, staying true to the radical and raw aesthetic of the 667 movement.

The production is handled by 1societyy, a beatmaker who has quickly become a key figure in the scene. He appears three times on Movie Tape 2, notably on Dopesick and Brazil 3, and is also behind standout productions like 93 Problèmes for DA Uzi and Les yeux ouverts by Saïf. With 6 chiffres, he ventures into fresh Baile Funk territory for Ashe 22, without compromising the dark DNA of the Lyon-based rapper.

The lyrics hit with striking intensity, blending egotrip, street references, and gritty realism:

“Il fait qu’parler, ça fume comme Marley, si j’l’ai en face j’refais sa dentition (Big brr)
Mentalité Sosa Tony (Shh), dans la ille-feu j’en ai trop mis (Bitch)
J’ai fait le job j’t’avais promis, l’cro-mi j’le crame, et les autres, ils tho-my”

The visual, directed by Piège Studio, reflects a well-established artistic continuity. Now a trusted creative partner of Ashe 22 and several key members of the Lyonzon and 667 collectives, the studio previously directed the visuals for 1212 and 7AR, and most recently the latest video from DOC OVG 997, titled Au-dessus.
