In 2023, 3arbi released his project “Interlope” under the guidance of Amine Farsi, one of the most prominent beatmakers in France today. The rapper stands out for his technical prowess and the high level of quality he brings to both his productions and his visually stunning outputs. He has recently launched a new freestyle series titled “Danger”, with the first episode now available.
3arbi brings the “Danger”!
The instrumental composition of the track is by Focus Beatz. This beatmaker played a significant role in the project “Akimbo” by Ziak, particularly on tracks such as “Shonen”, “Coffre”, “Vrai / Faux”, and the project’s eponymous track. With this project, which featured only one collaboration with Maes, Ziak quickly rose from relative obscurity to stardom, earning a gold record within days. Familiar with the sometimes dark Drill style of the rapper, it’s not surprising to see a production split into two distinct, yet minimalist parts.
The artist fully embraces all the codes of Drill music. Typically, when artists split their production into two parts, it’s to mark a contrast, as seen with DA Uzi in his recent freestyles “WeLaRue”. However, the rapper transitions from dark to even darker tones in his freestyle “Danger”, where he unapologetically portrays street life and the dealing life. The assertions are explicit:
"I arrive helmeted on a two-wheeler, how could I shut your mouth, racing at two hundred on the highway".
The visual, depicting day and night life in “an oven”, was created by Alex LaFinesse and Itm.prod. Alex Lafinesse is well-known among the new wave of street rap. He has notably directed videos for Sunz and N.W.EST.
