It has now been three years since Alonzo last released a project. The former member of Psy4 de la Rime has not remained inactive, though. We still remember his iconic track “Sous le Soleil”, featured in 13′ Organisé 2. This song, part of Jul‘s collective project, brought together major figures in Marseille rap since the early 2000s, including La Fonky Family, L’Algérino (initially produced by IAM), and Psy4 de la Rime.
2025, a crucial year for Alonzo
This year marks a turning point for Alonzo. For the first time, Soprano‘s longtime collaborator will perform at the Stade Vélodrome. The Marseille-based rapper is also unveiling a new project, set for release on February 7, titled “Longue Vie à Nous”, which he recently teased in a powerful and unique freestyle. Zed had similarly revealed the tracklist of his album Malcolm a few months ago.
Alonzo‘s project will feature prestigious collaborations with Gims, PLK, Jul, and Gazo. A promising tracklist set to make an impact this year.
Alonzo unveils the tracklist of “Longue Vie à Nous”
The instrumental composition of the track is crafted by Fakri Jenkins and Washy. Fakri, a Marseille-based beatmaker, has collaborated extensively with artists from the city. He is notably behind the production of “Oop” for Alonzo, “Freestyle GG”, “Freestyle Divo”, and “Bonne”. Alongside Spike Miller, he remains a key figure in the Marseille rap scene. The freestyle’s production is classic but effective, while Alonzo delivers sharp, hard-hitting punchlines.
In full egotrip mode, he drops:
“You lose your balls, how can I keep you informed when everything’s falling apart?”
“You swear on the Quran too much when you’re on Red Goose.”
Not forgetting his critics: “Yeah, that’s right, until the shroud, they want to tarnish my name.”
A luxurious music video directed by Pierre Gounin
The visuals, directed by Pierre Gounin, showcase Alonzo in a world of luxury, oscillating between high fashion shows, luxury cars, and exclusive parties. Amidst these glimpses of his accomplished artist lifestyle, we also see the track titles from his new album “Longue Vie à Nous”.
Pierre Gounin is an emerging director who has recently worked on music videos like “Téléphone” by Bosh, “Heureusement” by Joysad, and “Minaj” by Mougli & Kerchak.
