Kpoint made his mark on the rap scene with Trap’n’Roll, released in 2017. A master at blending rap with guitar, he seamlessly fuses sharp solos and hypnotic riffs, an instrument he handles with ease. Between 2020 and 2024, he stepped back from the spotlight, taking a break from music. But this pause was only a prelude to his major comeback. In 2024, he returns in full force with the EP SHOTTAS, setting the stage for a new album, as hinted at by his closing track, Outro – avant l’album.
His comeback is marked by the release of his new single, Pas comme ça, a track where the guitar takes center stage while keeping an assertive egotrip vibe.
A production blending rap and Latin influences
The track is backed by a refined production by SW Music and Sevscro. SW Music has already made a name for himself with tracks like Killer by Mardrane and Banal by Le Risque. Staying true to his musical DNA, Kpoint infuses his sound with rich guitar melodies, bringing a Latin touch to his universe. But don’t be fooled: beneath this atmospheric instrumental lies a raw dose of egotrip. The rapper delivers a candid, unfiltered take on street life.
A raw and impactful lyrical approach
Punchy gimmicks, group energy, and no unnecessary embellishments—Kpoint delivers a sharp and effective lyrical performance.
When we talk business, they talk trash
(We talk business, they talk nonsense)
We’re chasing paper, they’re just trying to leech
(We want the money, they’re just trying to take)
