L’Algérino unveils “Ça ira”!

A few months ago, L’Algérino shone in the now-classic track “Sous le soleil”, featured on the collective album 13 Organisé 2. Alongside iconic figures of Marseille’s rap scene, such as La FF and Psy4 de la Rime, he delivered a stellar performance on a timeless instrumental, capped off with a masterful finale by Soprano. This track left an indelible mark on the history of French rap. L’Algérino, one of the pioneers of Marseille’s rap movement, is now back with “Ça ira”, a powerful and committed track that serves as a social fresco rooted in urban realities.

L’Algérino unveils “Ça ira”!

The instrumental production for this track is crafted by Nabz, a talented composer who has already left his mark with hits like “Bladi” by Marwa Loud and “Dubaï” by Kekra. Featuring a gentle yet captivating melody, the instrumental perfectly complements L’Algérino’s heartfelt flow, which paints a sincere and moving portrait of Marseille’s daily struggles during challenging times.

Through his lyrics, the rapper gives a voice to the people of Marseille:

“He won’t remember last night, downing Jack straight from the bottle with the bee
Disgusted by the city, just waiting for a break, three, four, five bills taking all the pay
Honestly, I just wanted peace, those millions of euros, I could only imagine them.”

The music video, directed by Julian Laborie, powerfully and authentically brings L’Algérino’s narratives to life. Several actors, including Ramal, Amine Guedja, and Nassim Boughezzi, breathe life into the characters described in the lyrics with remarkable performances. Julian Laborie, who previously collaborated with Kofs on the 2021 music video for “Bah Ouais”, has also recently directed notable projects such as “The End” by Draïs and “Benz” by Tsiki.
