Tysha’a: An Artist in Pursuit of Authenticity and Emotion

Born on October 13, 1999, in Poissy, Tysha’a, whose real name is Laëticia François, is the first artist signed to Rubson Records. Of Martinican-Guadeloupean descent, this promising young singer blends traditional and modern influences to deliver music rich in emotion and authenticity.

A Childhood Shaped by Music and Tradition

Inspired by legends such as Whitney Houston, Édith Lefel, Shakira, and Fanny J, Tysha’a grew up in a household where music was a central part of life. At the age of 12, she performed on stage for the first time in restaurants across Guadeloupe, sharing her passion with live audiences.

“I started singing at a very young age in Guadeloupe, and that’s when I realized just how deeply music is a part of who I am. Practicing Gwoka, a traditional dance and music form, also helped me connect deeply with my culture.”

A Multi-Talented Artist

Beyond music, Tysha’a found a second creative outlet in painting, an activity that allows her to explore a different side of her artistic expression.

“Painting became an escape and a way for me to explore my creative side in a completely different way.”

This duality between music and visual art reflects the depth of her artistic universe, which she continues to nurture and expand.

A Promising Journey with Rubson Records

In January 2024, Tysha’a signed her first contract with Rubson Records. By July, she released her debut single, “Bye Bae”, a vibrant and modern track that marked the beginning of her career. However, it was her second single, “À quoi ça sert”, released in November, that solidified her musical identity.

Produced by Joel Berlando and written by Rubbi Youla, this track returns to her zouk roots, blending softness and sincerity. With its captivating melody and introspective lyrics about love, Tysha’a sets herself apart in a music scene largely dominated by urban influences.

“With this song, I wanted to return to my roots and show another side of myself. Zouk is more than a genre—it’s an emotion.”

Breaking Away from Current Trends

In an era where urban music reigns supreme, Tysha’a makes the bold choice to embrace a more timeless and classic style, reminiscent of artists like Kim, who left their mark in previous years. This deliberate approach highlights her commitment to staying true to her influences and cultural heritage.

A Bright Future Ahead

With her soft voice and heartfelt melodies, Tysha’a continues to captivate an audience seeking authenticity and musical depth. Supported by Rubson Records, she appears ready to make her mark on the music scene with projects that combine emotion, creativity, and cultural roots.

Tysha’a is more than just a singer. She represents a new generation of artists who remain true to themselves while exploring fresh horizons. A rising star to watch closely.
