Tiakola teams up with Niska and La Mamo 1.9 on “G.A.N.G”!

Tiakola made a strong impact with the release of his mixtape “BDM Vol 1” on Friday, September 20. After making waves with his debut project “La Mélo” and a collaborative album with Gazo titled “La Mélo est gangx”, the former member of 4Keus returns with an innovative mixtape concept. The arrival of Tiakola‘s mixtape was like a bombshell. The lineup of guest artists, worthy of a rising star in French rap, is impressive for a project of this scale, featuring names like SDM, Niska, Hamza, and Zed. The artistic diversity, ranging from Monsieur Nov to Zed, demonstrates a wide musical palette. As a bonus, the rapper has released 13 brand-new visuals to complement this mixtape experience.

Tiakola dominates French rap!

Thanks to this original concept, Tiakola has been topping the charts since Friday. According to data from Twitter Kultur, Tiakola has already surpassed 4 million streams in just 24 hours on Spotify. Additionally, 16 tracks from the album have made it into the Apple Music TOP 50, and the album is ranked number 1 in 11 countries. As of this Friday, Tiakola is the most listened-to artist in France. It was also revealed that the single “Mélo” has been certified diamond. With these achievements, Tiakola is now officially entering the French rap hall of fame.

Since 2016, as the so-called “urban” music scene (which encompasses a variety of styles as diverse as Booba, Gims, and Aya Nakamura) has taken over the musical landscape, big releases from the genre often come hand in hand with records and accolades. However, it is undeniable that Tiakola is gradually establishing himself as the new rising star of French rap. The numbers are staggering, and with his accessible style and catchy tracks, he seems to have found the winning formula.

The musical production is handled by SHK and Marabou. SHK, a beatmaker from Épinay-sur-Seine, has previously worked with Gazo on the track “Molly” and with Alonzo on “Tout va bien”. He also contributed the track “Cartier” on the joint album by Tiakola and Gazo. As for the track “G.A.N.G”, it is a pop song with upbeat rhythms and a feel-good vibe.

Niska and La Mamo 1.9, each with their distinctive style, bring added energy to this track by Tiakola. The rapper from the 91 delivers a burst of energy with his unique flow: “Apart from the staples on contracts and on the packs, there’s no attachment.”

The music video was directed by Axel Haze, who captured the bright and joyful essence of Tiakola‘s universe with vibrant colors and radiant cinematography. Axel Haze had previously made a name for himself by directing the video for “Go” by Rim’k and Kekra in a completely different style, as well as the video for “Violet” by Uzi and RK.
